AHHHHHH!!! Long live KiKi, Goddess of all things chaotic--especially right now.
Life is craziness. Totally chaos. Not that I'm really complaining. I'm kind of happy it is actually. It's nice. It's just really hard to get back into the chaos after chilling and being lazy all summer.
I really shouldn't be updating. I have a gabillion things to do at the moment, even though it's the middle of the night. But that's me! Besides, I feel soooo utterly guilty that I haven't been updating daily, bi-daily, a gabillion times a day. Y'know what I mean? *grin*
I am terrified at the moment. Totally terrified. I have to staff late freshman orientation. This means leading a group of naive, scared, shy freshies. Greeeeeat. I do NOT want to do this. At all. I have no problem being in front of people, but I realize that everything and anything I do could impact these kids. And I have to help them figure out how to schedule classes. They're screwed. Really. Brahahaha. Not just cuz of me, but because there's more students on campus this year than ever before and this means there's like NADA classes left open. So NONE of them are gonna be pleased with their class schedule. Poor kids. I know how that goes.
I'm so psyched: I get my new laptop tomorrow. YAY YAY YAY!!! Buh-bye stupid slooooow craptop. This new one has a DVD player....And a CD BURNER!!! I'm so psyched. I can make my own mixes. I'm mucho mucho excited. Hehhehehehehehe. Too bad I'm not gonna have time to play with it until like midnight tomorrow night. Grr.
Students are starting the mass move back to campus. Which is kind of nice. Fresh faces--HURRAY!!!!! I love my staff, but, believe me, after seeing only them for 2 weeks straight, you start to go stir-crazy. Plus all my friends are returning soon. This is so awesome. I can't wait to see all of them! Have a great trip up here, all of you! I love you all!
Ummm...I'm gonna go and read over the orientation materials for tomorrow so that I don't look like a complete doof when I give tours and have to lecture on boring things to the newbies. Wish me luck!
