Playlist Memories [ May 01, 2004, 9:12 pm ]

Procedure: put your computer mp3 player on random then list the first 25 songs that play, no matter how embarrassing or dorky they may be.

.) Sleepy Brown featuring OutKast--I Can't Wait (good chillin' song)

.) Sister Hazel: Your Mistake (tugs at my heart. SH has a way of wording emotions that other bands just can't grasp at.)

.) Madonna: Secret (a favorite of hers. Mmm-mmm, I got a secret! Not really, but I still cannot wait to see her.)

.) Moby: Southside (reminds me of freshman year. And porn stars thanks to the video.)

.) Jessica Simpson: With You (way overplayed on the radio. The video's cute, though.)

.) Incubus: Echo (I *heart* Incubus. Brandon Boyd can marry me and sing me to sleep every night.)

.) NSync: Hard to Say Goodbye to Yesteday (shut up, I'm a hard-core NSync fan. Sucky mp3 though.)

.) Richard Marx: Hazard (awww, reminds me of my childhood. Except for the whole drowning in the river due to a creepy guy part. Viva la early 90s!)

.) Jennifer Lopez: Ain't It Funny (still my favorite J. Lo song. Yes, I have a favorite J.Lo song. Who doesn't? At least I admit it.)

.) Tracy Chapman: The Promise (umm...wasn't aware this was on my computer. Perhaps I need to spring clean it. Not that this is a bad song...)

.) Nelly, P.Diddy et all: Shake Yo Tailfeather (awww, happiness. Reckons back to clubbing and the staff rafting trip.)

.) Beatles: Norwegian Wood (dl'd because someone said I needed better taste in music. I think I did this in spite. But I like it. Can we say backfire?)

.) Big Bad Voodoo Daddy: Sing Sing (I adore BBVD after their concert. Big ups to Chrissy for that. I have a new favorite--hurrah.)

.) Spice Girls: Goodbye (Spice Girls FOREVER!!! I love this song. It'd be a good graduation song. Word.)

.) Melanie C: I Turn to You (I think of gay clubs when I listen to this. Maybe because it has a good dancey-techno beat.)

.) John Mayer: Man on the Side (like I need to say anything about this. A rare accoustic of his. Drooool.)

.) Blur: Crazy Beat (fun and funky. I think my head would hurt if I listened to this too much. That is all.)

.) Limp Bizkit: Behind Blue Eyes (I think this is a good remake. shut up.)

.) 50 Cent: In da Club (My 21st bday theme. Therefore it'll always be warm fuzzies in my book.)

.) Enrique Inglesius: Bailamos (Enrique and Ricky Martin always make me think of Em's brother making fun of the Latin Explosion music. It is cheesy. Which is why I like it.)

.) Daniel Beddingfield: James Dean (thanks to my sister for hooking me to this song and cd. Single tear for sisterhood.)

.) SmashMouth: All-Star (Senior year. Fun. Road trips to shop. Screaming the lyrics to this before bball games. And Shrek. Yeah.)

.) John Mayer: Bigger Than My Body (Will always always always remind me of this year, my 4th year of college. Getting the cd with Mark and Matecki and playing it non-stop for weeks straight without any thing else in rotation. Knowing all the lyrics by the end of the first week. Seeing him in concert--twice. My geeky super-huge fandom to him. damn.)

.) Janet Jackson: If (I wanna learn the moves to this song, dammit. If I had abs like hers I'd fall on my knees and thank all the gods in heaven. Then spend all my time in skanky clothes to show off my ripped-ness.)

.) Mariah Carey: Dreamlover (early high school. Ugh. Cheerleading. Double ugh. Immitating Mariah--soo fun.)

That's a really good way to reminisce in twenty minutes. How fun.

Ciao dahling!
