As I said yesterday--my life is good. I'm happy. And now, I shall list off the reasons why I'm happy. Because I lack the utter creativity it takes to formulate a real entry.
- my birthday? 9 days, baby! Woo!
- And for the Krissy blowout? My dear dear friend Melissa is coming down to celebrate!! Wheee!
- And this same Melissa? Just asked me to help her plan her wedding. So now I can add wedding planner onto my business card (along with PR Specialist, writer and international whore)!!!
- I was uber-productive yesterday. Like, really productive. I did all of my dishes (I won't even admit how many there were...let's just say there were a LOT)! I cleaned my bathroom! And the kitchen! And did laundry!
- Yesterday was also a landmark day as I cooked. Not macaroni and cheese either. I made pesto! Meaning I chopped up garlic and basil and cooked chicken and sautee'd mushrooms and everything. And it was delicious. So delicious. Mmm. Can I have my "Yay you're an adult" certificate now? Please?
- the fact that I can cook pesto pasta now means I can officially cook more than three items. And this means I'm not completely hopeless. Because I can make pesto! And chicken stir-fry! And yummy hawaiin-esque rice! And cheeseburgers! And stuffed french toast! And spaghetti! And I just realized that while I may be able to cook, I could never survive on the Atkins diet because evidently, I love cooking with carbs.
- I'm famous! ...ok, so I'm not. But I was at the Upfront last week and the guitarist from the band just so happened to be snapping pictures while I just so happened to be dancing near the stage with Katie. And it just so happens that now I'm on their website. We both look cute! But I particularily enjoy the guy flipping off the camera behind me. Sexy.
- And now, show and tell.
I made this a couple of weeks ago to showcase that fab picture of Amanda and I. I likey. And I love the table it's on too. I can pretend I made it, but I didn't. I bought it at Kohl's for $15. I had to assemble it though, so that should count. And if it doesn't? Well, I still made that kick-ass pretty frame. So neh.
